Guys, one of the things I love SO MUCH about our little Once Upon a Time community here at Milliways is that we are all rabidly obsessed with characterization, canon, and merging the two with the sheer descent into madness that is Milliways.

Of course, canon can only take us so far (especially once we've gotten into the long dark soul-destroying tunnel that is the summer hiatus), and part of the joy of RP is discovering or theorizing your own ideas for the character that fit in with what's already known about them.

With that in mind, we would like to offer this space as a place to discuss all your thoughts, all your theories, all your FEELS: canon, head-canon, questions without current answers, theories to discuss and agree upon (like: is Red a super-smeller? Does Regina have any magic outside the Enchanted Forest? Why the hell do the illustrations in Henry's book change mid-way through the season?). I'll post main threads, one for characters and one for the show, and you all just go to town. Yes? Got it?

There are 11 new featurette video's linked on The Resources Page.

I'd never known about these before, but they are small featurette's done by the writers, directors and actors talking about their thoughts about certain episodes and character growth or story shifts therein.

The best thing about having a ton of canonmates is ... well ... having a ton of canonmates, obviously! And also being able to plot and plan and write through canon. These are all delightful things.

However, it's nice to be able to keep track of where people are in canon! So here's what you do: comment here with your pup's entry episode, and where they currently are. Here's an example:

Emma Swan enters Milliways at the end of 1.04: The Price of Gold. She is currently between 1.05: That Still Small Voice and 1.06: The Shepherd.

That way, we can keep a list of where everyone is at any given time. Good? Good.

We hear you've apped and been approved-- WELCOME TO THE ONCE UPON A TIME CORNER OF MILLIWAYS! We're full of fannish love, squeeing, giggling, a whole lot of talking, playing, and working things. We're an incredibly lively, happy, communicative, friendly bunch. To get you off to a good fast, fresh start, here are the things we invite you to do first:

1. Request membership in the

farfar_aways Community

While anyone can subscribe to the community, and is quite welcome to join the Once Upon a Time Squeefests, there are some members-only posts that handle contract information between the official players.

2. Drop a comment on the Taken/Needed Characters page

This will get your character removed from Apping, Testing, or Needed field it is currently sitting in. This page will also give you links to every other current in-Bar Once pup's journal. We encourage you to go friend everyone! It's why they are all conveniently in one place for you.

3. Add your information to the Player Contact Information page

This one may take you a day, depending on how fast your administrators are at work. This is the first locked entry on the community. Here you'll find all the player information (Names, e-mail addresses, modes of contact, and hours played in) for all the current Players behind the Once pups. Once you've been approved, please submit your information to be added to this page, as well.

4. Add your information to the Where Are You? page

This page helps to keep track of which episodes of the storyline character are currently in. It's nice to give a shout out for where you are starting from and when you change episodes. It keeps you, and everyone else in the game, aware where everyone else. Shows you who you can reach out to and involve in what you are currently doing based on proximity.

5. Have fun! Go play with the rest of the community. We have test threads, weekly discussions posts, comment parties, and anything else you feel inspired to throw in!

One of the most fun things to make, that I will need the very most help from you. This is the place where we can collect all ooms and interactions relevant to the ongoing storyline. No, I don't mean every ep that all of us every do. We have our own journal memories for that. A good example is like

Emma & Mary Margaret's oom for Magic words that starts and ends in the canon of the episode (both leaving the hospital and the scene from the show) or any of Archie's thread's that culminate with Mary Margaret, Emma, The Sheriff, and Regina at the end of That Still Small Voice after standing up to Regina. Canon things we're widening a little. So we can find them, and can point to world to them.

For the moment, this is an example, as I'm uncertain whether the mun's of the boys are actually keeping that thread, but keep an eagle eye out for updates. Hey, what's this we hear about you loving Once Upon a Time, and thinking about joining us in April (or in the coming months, after the finale)? Sheer brilliance. That's what we hear.

We thought we'd throw you a hearty hello and welcome to considering it party in the comments to celebrate the fact there are six different characters being either aped or considered for our future (Red Riding Hood, Belle, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Jiminy Cricket) after three of us arrived in the last week and half.

Feel free to drop in and say hello, rub some elbows.
