Hi, everyone!

I'm really excited to be joining you all in your wonderful canon. I have a couple things for you:

First, like I said in the Backroom, Peter's dead in backstory. Oops. I'm pretty sure he met Snow (Mary) in passing, and knows Regina by reputation. If you'd like to have met my blacksmit at some point, let me know, that can be arranged!

Second, From a comment that Gill made at dinner the other night, I wanted to put an idea before you all. Peter is actually the young boy rom Peter and the Wolf, which, by the way, is a Disney short in addition to being just Red's boyfriend. The 'wolf' in the Peter and the Wolf mythos is... actually Red's father. When the Random Hunters carried him off at the end of the story, he was shot. What does this mean? Not much. Peter had an awesome day when he was little, and used to play with animals in the woods, and that's where Red's dad went.

Third, I'm up for plot! If anyone has any ideas, or backstory ideas, let me know!

Ideas? Thoughts? Am I way off the mark here?

Hello all! I've finally decided that I can bring Mulan into Milliways without breaking canon. Oddly enough, it's thanks to the Quite A Common Fairy episode (which seems the end of her story for the season) but I wanted to open a dialog to make sure this works with other Once muns!

I hope to bring Mulan in after the aforementioned episode and I plan on her finding her way to Milliways via mists in the Enchanted Forest or perhaps a doorway within Rumple's castle. I realize the last might raise questions with Rumble's pre-curse knowledge of Milliways, so if Rumple mun would prefer I not have a doorway in his old castle, I'm find with Mulan just wandering in from the forest.

I am also imagining the post-Curse breaking Enchanted forest is in a state of being rebuilt. Crops have been unattended and thus have gone wild, Ogres wander about and what cities or villages were present are in serious disrepair. Not quite post-apocalypse, but it is not in the state it was in before the Curse. Robin Hood is leading the rebuilding effort with the help of the Merry Men.

As far as breaking canon (since most of you are still in season one I believe), I think as long as Mulan doesn't meet Emma, Snow or Neal within Bar nor hears or mentions them, we should be good. I, of course, am willing to alter any of this if you think it will cause problems.

ETA: I am also up for pre-Season 3 OOMs if you need me. I know I do plan on a flashback here and there.

The Name of the Game is as said above -- It's the Season One Milliway's Rewatch of Once Upon A Time, now that we've all seen it through to the end at least once. It's taking it one episode a week, like we did the real releases and talking about anything we might have missed earlier (like the Reul Ghorm = Blue Star / Blue Fairy = Blue Star on Emma's cupcake, or any of August's early "I don't lie!" references O_o).

It's also room to shake it up and say anything, because you are all amazing brilliant people who see new things in this show all the time.

Hey, guys!

We're in the full swing of working our way through canon now, and we have almost the entire cast! You guys continue to knock my socks off with all your sheer amazing, seriously.

Since we're going to be heading through canon, and we are such a large cast, we thought it would be best to have roll calls and episode guides up on the comm so everyone knows when they/their character might be needed and can make arrangements for writing or having someone else fic their parts if necessary. Yes? Got it? Good.

I know we all have completely different schedules, places (and times) we get our episodes and people we watch them, but I was reminded by a little bird (possibly the most adorable huffy blue bird in existence) of how awesome the idea of a Cast Wide Finale would be and that it was discussed during the pre-finale chat last week.

I know we couldn't all do it tomorrow night, and I know there are some people who might not be able to do Monday night even.

If you're interested in a Cast Wide Final Rewatch, please leave your availability in the next week in the comments below. Days, times, your time zone, and especially maybe notes on hard/solid times you absolutely could not be able during these days.

Soooo. T-Minus, the bar's handy-dandy pandimensional IM client.

I'm kind of interested in having Red pick up a handset at some point - and possibly also Ruby, if she comes in often enough. (I ran this by John, as Ruby wouldn't have access to Red's/remember picking it up, and he said it's cool; the two user names would use the same color and initials, a la Karkat's changing, but would for ll intents and purposes be two separate accounts.)

Related to that: But what are your thoughts on how it'd interact with the curse? Would a handset even work in Storybrooke? I'm taking it as a given that Ruby wouldn't 'interact' with Red at any point (they'd just never be signed on at the same time).

Thoughts/opinions/flailing?

I know out last episode watching had a hodge-podge last minute throw together right-before April apps and that night's episode. I'd love to leave this open as another option for tonight's new episode.

I'm up for a chatroom of squeeing loudly with likeminded people at the top of my lungs, while watching and falling off my couch and general loving on you people, while trying not to hate on syndication for daring to have commercial’s during my playtimes.

True Love is a powerful piece of magic in the show, with few limits (it can't seem to bring back the dead; but unlike fairy tales, True Love's Kiss seems good for repeat usage on the curse-breaking front), but I was thinking it might be worth us all hashing out a theory as to its nature, or questions about it that canon may yet answer (or already answered, but haven't pulled together yet). I have my own theory, which I'll go into in the comments, but a) it's just mine and b) it's not exactly comprehensive.

So, what do you guys think True Love is? Pure magic? 'Normal' love that has an added magic whoomph to it (either due to the nature of romantic love in FTL, or because magic is attracted to the emotion?) Destiny? Soulmates? Can you have more than one, if love fades or is lost? What does losing your True Love mean as opposed to just the broken heart of 'normal' love. Does True Love feel different from 'just love'?

Any and all other questions that we can theorise about?

Feel free to tag in with your character, and their name both of them if you have two, in the Characters one. The same thing goes for Ships Area. You're adults, you know how to roll with this. Guys, one of the things I love SO MUCH about our little Once Upon a Time community here at Milliways is that we are all rabidly obsessed with characterization, canon, and merging the two with the sheer descent into madness that is Milliways.

Of course, canon can only take us so far (especially once we've gotten into the long dark soul-destroying tunnel that is the summer hiatus), and part of the joy of RP is discovering or theorizing your own ideas for the character that fit in with what's already known about them.

With that in mind, we would like to offer this space as a place to discuss all your thoughts, all your theories, all your FEELS: canon, head-canon, questions without current answers, theories to discuss and agree upon (like: is Red a super-smeller? Does Regina have any magic outside the Enchanted Forest? Why the hell do the illustrations in Henry's book change mid-way through the season?). I'll post main threads, one for characters and one for the show, and you all just go to town. Yes? Got it?

Where Are You?

The best thing about having a ton of canonmates is ... well ... having a ton of canonmates, obviously! And also being able to plot and plan and write through canon. These are all delightful things.

However, it's nice to be able to keep track of where people are in canon! So here's what you do: comment here with your pup's entry episode, and where they currently are. Here's an example:

Emma Swan enters Milliways at the end of 1.04: The Price of Gold. She is currently between 1.05: That Still Small Voice and 1.06: The Shepherd.

That way, we can keep a list of where everyone is at any given time. Good? Good.
