(Eureka's going right now, actually; I think they're only a couple episodes in. As for W13, I, uh... may not have watched the S3 finale yet, though I've read spoilers. I just. Yeeeeah. I have faith they'll set things right, but I can't go there until they do, I think; I'll stick to my 'HG WELLS BUILT A ROCKET' happy place.)

I wholeheartedly approve of the Secret Diaries thing! (Red's would have a lot of 'GO OUTSIDE, RUBY, YOU DUMBASS.') And fic things, and other shenanigans.
