Hi, everyone!
I'm really excited to be joining you all in your wonderful canon. I have a couple things for you:
First, like I said in the Backroom, Peter's dead in backstory. Oops. I'm pretty sure he met Snow (Mary) in passing, and knows Regina by reputation. If you'd like to have met my blacksmit at some point, let me know, that can be arranged!
Second, From a comment that Gill made at dinner the other night, I wanted to put an idea before you all. Peter is actually the young boy rom Peter and the Wolf, which, by the way, is a Disney short in addition to being just Red's boyfriend. The 'wolf' in the Peter and the Wolf mythos is... actually Red's father. When the Random Hunters carried him off at the end of the story, he was shot. What does this mean? Not much. Peter had an awesome day when he was little, and used to play with animals in the woods, and that's where Red's dad went.
Third, I'm up for plot! If anyone has any ideas, or backstory ideas, let me know!

I'm tempted to offer Mulan as having met Peter while she was fighting with the Emperor's army in the Second Ogre war, assuming Peter would have been anywhere an army would have passed through. I'm on the fence about if she'd remember him but we could always work something out. Mulan does have lots of wiggle room to her story, as does Peter.

Actually, Peter's a blacksmith. It's possible that he's made things for Mulan or at the very least the army. I figure he's done deliveries all over the place of his father's things. Age-wise, he's about twenty-one when he dies, so he was probably an older apprentice during the actual war. I could totally work with that if you're interested!

I'm on my way out to the gym but I'll see if Mulan has any opinions. I know I do cause I loved her story with Belle and more interactions with the main story is only good, but it is up to her.

You're definitely not off the mark at all! In fact, I thought the Peter and the Wolf connection was canon, and have been referring to him thus since the episode aired.
I am totally cool with him knowing Regina by reputation. I have the skeleton of a timeline going on in my head, but no firm dates for any canon events really, so how long she's been Queen vs. Evil Queen or whether they've met in the past is absolutely flexible, and I too am forever game for plots. Just let me know if you'd like to do something, and we will conspire. >:D
